NZ NDTA Ultrasonic Training Course
For 2 weeks from May 17th to 28th, members and non-members of the NZNDTA attended Ultrasonic welds testing level1 and Ultrasonic thickness level2, theory and practical training with exams in Accurate’s specialised training room in Wigram, Christchurch. Eight attendees, including Accurate’s own Ruan Lombaard, sat through many hours of detailed analysation of NDT equipment, techniques and applications, that ended in 4 exams and two practical assessments, with the training course highlighted as a success by all involved.
NDT (Non Destructive Testing) is a significant growing field in New Zealand, which has been brought to the forefront in recent years with seismic events such as the Christchurch and Kaikoura earthquakes, highlighting a knowledge, skill and application of NDT techniques through New Zealand.
Accurate continue to look forward to more involvement with the NZNDTA in future, and offer many equipment and instrument solutions for non-destructive testing. From corrosion profiling through to ultrasonic thickness gauges, integrity meters to concrete testing, see our dedicated Non Destructive Category on the home page for more information on solutions.
